2011 Triumph Street Triple R

Street Triple R. It’s a Street Triple with attitude. The most fun you can have on two wheels. Take a standard Street Triple and add supersport specification suspension and brakes. Mix in some premium color schemes and take the skills and experience of Triumph’s outstanding development engineers to hone to perfection. The result? A motorcycle that has won universal acclaim since its introduction in 2008 and which it guaranteed to leave the rider grinning from ear to ear. The Street Triple R’s lightweight frame has been lifted directly from the award winning Daytona 675 sport bike. Fitted with fully adjustable front and rear suspension, Nissin four-piston radial front calipers and radial master cylinder, the Street Triple R’s sublime handling and control are the stuff of legend. You won’t believe it’s a 675. Distinguishing the Street Triple R are three stunning color schemes: Matte Graphite, Matte Blazing Orange and a new Phantom Black and gold combination. The Street Triple R is not a subtle motorcycle. It’s a bike for those who like to take it to the max. Take the best middleweight streetfighter. Add supersport suspension and brakes. The result? Motorcycling nirvana. Awards galore. The purest riding experience you can buy. Street Triple R. 675cc. Twin headlamps. Twin high level silencers. Twin front discs. Radial brakes. 106PS and 68Nm of torque. A pure Triumph. Stunning colours. Following on from the phenomenally successful Street Triple, the Street Triple R provides a harder-edged and sportier middleweight streetfighter that has been critically acclaimed around the world. Based on the standard Street Triple, the R version adds fully-adjustable supersport specification suspension and premium graphics and colour schemes to really make it stand out from the crowd. Highly regarded for its light and intuitive handling, the Street Triple R features 41mm inverted front forks which are adjustable for preload, rebound and compression damping to give the expert rider freedom to set the motorcycle up for their specific needs. The rear monoshock is an equally high quality item, adjustable for preload and rebound damping, while the twin 308mm floating front discs are mated to powerful four-piston Nissin radial calipers for eye popping stopping power. With a wet weight of just 189kg and a lively 106PS at its disposal, the Street Triple R provides a lively yet surprisingly composed ride that will surprise more than a few race replicas on a twisting road or race track. Since its introduction for 2009, the Street Triple R has received numerous accolades, including eBike of the Yearf awards from Bike magazine in the UK and Moto Navi of Japan, while last year the Street Triple R was a regular feature on the circuits as the official bike of the ParkinGO European Series. The Street Triple Rfs high equipment level includes lightweight five-spoke alloy wheels from the Daytona 675, fat alloy Magura handlebars, a stylish two-tone seat unit and a comprehensive instrumentation includes a built in lap timer, programmable gear change lights, clock and gear indicator, as well as a large tachometer and digital speedo. Classic Triumph streetfighter twin headlights and twin high level silencers dominate the styling and three colour options (Matt Graphite, Intense Orange or Phantom Black with gold wheels) ensure that there is a Street Triple R to suit all tastes. Triumph's range of genuine accessories are hugely popular with Street Triple R owners. Colour
matched flyscreens, belly pans and seat cowls give the bike a more sporting and aggressive look, while Arrow Special Parts have developed both a three-into-one elow boyf exhaust system and lightweight slip-on silencers for improved performance and a weight reduction. Other key accessories include CNC machined clutch and brake levers and a eplug and playf quickshifter that can be fitted to the Street Triple R in minutes.
Standard Features

Top notch and fully adjustable suspension front and rear mark the Street Triple R out as a machine for riders who just live for the twisties. Confidence inspiring four piston radial caliper brakes up front ensure that this is one bike that will stop as well as it goes. And because we know you’re going to want to do some track days, we’ve prewired the Street Triple R to take our plug and play quickshifter and even fitted a 99-lap timer to record your personal bests.

Liquid cooled, 12 valve DOHC, in line three-cylinder 675cc 106PS

Derived from the class leading Daytona 675, the Street Triple R’s 675cc water-cooled three-cylinder 12-valve engine delivers strong low and midrange performance, from tick over to redline and produces more than 60Nm (44ft.lbf) of torque from 3500rpm right through to 12300rpm. The close-ratio six-speed gearbox maximises the effectiveness of the engine’s impressive power and torque, always giving you the perfect gear.

Supersport specification twin-piston radial brakes ensure the Street Triple R stops on demand.

Radially-mounted four piston calipers grab the twin 308mm brake discs and ensure the Street Triple R stops as well as it goes. A radial master cylinder gives the rider precise control.

Intuitive. Think of an apex? You just hit it.

Fully-adjustable 41mm upside down forks and a top-spec rear monoshock unit with piggy back reservoir deliver a taut yet refined riding experience.

Two-tone black and graphite saddle perfectly matches the Street Triple R's unique matt colour schemes.

Derived from the Daytona 675, the chassis gives supreme agility and feedback. Handling will give you confidence whether you’re new to bikes or pushing hard on the track.

Tapered aluminium handlebars from Magura echo the legendary Speed Triple and put the Street Triple R rider in the perfect position to attack the twisty stuff or cut through the urban jungle.
